Pendle Walkers Enjoy a Christmas Lunch

Pendle Leisure Trust Out and About Project Volunteers where treated to a Christmas event as a thank you for all their hard work on the walks.
The event, held at the Lesser Muni in Colne, December 21st was a real success.  Over 25 volunteers attended the event and it was a really good chance for many of the volunteers to unwind and enjoy each others company whilst sharing stories from the walks over the year.The volunteers enjoyed potato pie and peas followed by mince pies and a cuppa and on of the volunteers came up with a fun Christmas quiz which was very well received!  The volunteer's are now all looking forward to 2012 and having another good year of walks!'


Out and About
A group of around 30 walkers set out from Fence  to Higher Spen and along the ridge to Rigg of England above Roughlee before returning to Fence.Group Walk Leader Mr Norman Mitchell said: "I was extremely pleased with the success of the Tuesday group and the turnout of 30 walkers proved this. The walks also start from Higham and Barden Mill untill April, when Sabden and Barley will be added."
